Jackson, Inc. is seeking motivated and dependable Equipment Operator to support our heavy highway, site development, and paving operations across South Carolina. In this role, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards our teams expect.You'll work alongside a supportive team that values safety, accountability, and doing the job right. This is an opportunity for a skilled operator who takes pride in their work, respects their equipment, and contributes to a crew that builds quality from the ground up.What You'll Do :Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, rollers, or similar machineryPerform pre- and post-shift inspections to ensure equipment is safe and job-readyMaintain equipment cleanliness and assist with basic preventative maintenanceWork closely with crew members and supervisors to keep operations running efficientlySupport grading, excavation, paving, and site development activities as neededMaintain awareness of surroundings, including personnel, equipment, and trafficFollow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirementsPerform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For:High school diploma or GED preferred2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related fieldAbility to understand and follow directionsStrong teamwork and communication skillsMechanical awareness and respect for equipmentReliable, punctual, and safety-focusedWillingness to work overtime, nights, or weekends as requiredCommitment to safety and proper use of PPEValid driver's license requiredMust pass pre-employment background check and drug screeningPhysical Requirements :Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipmentAbility to stand or walk for extended periods as neededAbility to lift and carry materials up to 50 poundsAbility to climb in and out of equipment safelyAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise)Ability to walk on uneven terrain and active job sitesMaintain awareness of surroundings and equipment for safetyBenefits:Competitive pay based on experienceCompany-paid training and advancement opportunitiesSupportive, team-oriented work environmentOpportunity to learn and grow within the paving industryFull benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement optionsPaid time off and holidaysAbout C.R.
