Practices high quality medical care in performing a variety of patient care activities such as preparation for appointments, minor exams and procedures, laboratory and maintenance controls, patient documentation, and various office duties.Responsible for all duties included in the Medical Assistant job description.Takes inventory and performs ordering of supplies.Assists with coordinating staff meetings.Supervises work performed by department and may delegate work to staff members.Counsels and coaches the team by guiding, directing, motivating, and mediating conflict resolution.Assists with staff development, new employee orientation, and training.Monitors and ensures staff compliance with policies and procedures.May be responsible for performance evaluations as required by Human Resources.Responsible for managing the schedule, time keeping, and payroll if necessary.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School diploma or GED and a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Paramedic program required.Certified or Registered preferred but not necessaryCPR Certification requiredA minimum of 2 years MA/CMA experience preferably in the medical fieldExperienced in staff roles with a history of good performanceLeadership skillsMulti-taskingTime managementTeamworkMedical terminologyAbility to provide accurate and sufficient charting/messagesAble to listen, provide direction, relay information in a professional manner that is appropriate to audience and respond to questions within scope of his/her knowledge as well as being open to constructive criticismAbility to work full time and flexibility to work varying hoursAbility to travel to all locations at any given timeAbility to work multiple positions for the specific department: i.e. phones, scheduling of appointments, rooming, proceduresConveys a warm, caring and approachable demeanorDisplays unconditional respect toward othersAble to sense others feelings and perspectivesMust be able to get along with others, be a team player, accept feedback from others, and be able to follow work rulesThe compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $23.76-26.03 for a Lead Medical Assistant and $24.76-27.03 for a Lead Certified Medical Assistant with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
