About the Role
A well-established foundry/manufacturing operation in the Anniston, AL area is seeking an experienced Third Shift Superintendent to lead overnight production operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced foundry environment, drives production performance, leads teams effectively, and keeps safety and quality at the center of everything they do.

What You'll Do

• Provide overall leadership and direction for third-shift foundry/manufacturing operations
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and production employees
• Ensure production schedules and daily operational goals are met safely and efficiently
• Monitor staffing levels, workflow, productivity, downtime, and shift performance
• Partner with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other departments to resolve operational issues
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA standards
• Drive accountability for quality standards and production requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and increased efficiency
• Review production reports and communicate shift performance and priorities to leadership
• Address employee performance concerns and foster a positive, accountable team culture
• Ensure proper shift handoffs and communication between departments
• Respond effectively to unexpected production, equipment, staffing, or safety challenges

What We're Looking For

• Melt deck / melt operations experience is required — hands-on experience with furnace operation, metal charging, alloy/temperature control, or direct supervision of melt department personnel is essential for this role
• 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production leadership role, ideally in a foundry environment
• Prior experience leading teams and/or supervisors in a fast-paced production environment
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, safety, and quality standards
• Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently and owning overnight operations
• Experience with continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing initiatives is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
