Why Work Here?
You will join a small, tight-knit welding team where your contributions are visible and valued. The company emphasizes open communication, reliability, and mutual respect, and it invests in training and skill development for team members who show initiative and commitment. You can expect steady hours, consistent overtime opportunities, and exposure to a diverse range of structural projects that help you grow your welding and fabrication expertise in a supportive, production-focused environment.
Work Environment
The role is based in a small welding shop with approximately eight welders on first shift, creating a close, collaborative team atmosphere. The facility focuses on structural steel fabrication, working with large mild steel beams that can be up to about 2 inches thick and over 50 feet long. Both first and second shifts are available, with first shift running from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., and overtime typically scheduled after regular shift hours, resulting in around 50 hours of work per week. The environment is production-oriented, with limited capacity for extended on-the-job training, so prior production welding experience is important. You will have your own welding workstation and use MIG and flux core welding equipment, grinders, and standard measuring tools such as tape measures. The dress code requires long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and steel-toed boots; you should also have your own welding hood and steel-toed footwear with appropriate metatarsal protection. The shop culture values showing up consistently, communicating openly, and supporting each other, and in return the team offers training, guidance, and a stable workload.
