Museum Library And Research Assistant

Responsible for research relevant to museum assets, managing recent acquisitions, creating museum displays, and various administrative duties.

Responsible for organizing and maintaining museum archival resources, including technical manuals, drawings, diagrams, and photographs.

Maintains accurate records of the collection via a computerized cataloguing system.

Responsible for typing and filing Museum correspondence, forms, and reports.

Regularly audits inventory locations of on-hand antiquities using in-house software.

Assists with finding creative solutions to enhance museum efficiency and presentation.

Organize new exhibits and displays.

Researches and documents museum antiquities utilizing various available resources.

Is willing to take direction from multiple management sources concurrently.

Ensures tagging procedures are maintained for all inventory items.

Locates inventory items upon request from management or another department.

Assists with scheduled public tours and private events, occasionally outside normal business hours.

Ensures timely and accurate communication of schedule information to other support functions.

Supports, communicates and defends the mission, values, and culture of the company.
