Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in critical condition while maintaining a compassionate environment. You will be responsible for managing patient assessments, planning, and implementing care plans alongside other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients in critical care.
• Administer medication and perform complex nursing procedures such as ventilator management and sedation monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Effectively communicate with patients' families regarding the care and treatment process.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous education and training, including orientation for floating to NICU or other units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric critical care nursing experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP and CRRT preferred.
• Active compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Experience with patient care activities including ventilator management and administering blood products.
