Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring TNCC and PALS certifications.

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or Compact state license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC from AHA required
• CPI/De-escalation certification highly preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Care unit of a hospital setting
• 13-week night shift assignment, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required across units/locations
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Pewter/charcoal grey scrubs dress code
• Coordinate and implement patient care across the age spectrum served in the ED
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, establishing and adjusting care priorities
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for consideration
• Returning CHRISTUS employees or travelers must have a 6-month separation from any CHRISTUS facility system-wide before being eligible for a new travel assignment
