Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. We are a small long-term group home business with 36 residents. The position is Monday through Friday with flexible work schedule. Long-term care experience is beneficial and the ability to work well with others is essential. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Compensation is based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation.
• Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols when needed.
• Monitor patients’ physiological status in long-term care facilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management.
• Educate patients and families on medication administration, health coaching, nutrition, and disease management.
• Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed to prevent healthcare-associated infections.

Qualifications

• Valid RN or LVN license in the state of practice.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and team/family interactions
• Compliance with all licensing requirements and current certification
