MO-SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St.Louis – Regular Worker Job Summary Provides leadership and coordination of unit staffing while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care. Schedule Day shift: 0700–1730, Monday–Friday (4–10 hour shifts). Call schedule: 7–9 shifts per schedule period, includes weekend call rotation. Benefits Competitive, affordable health insurance and wellness plans Up to $5,250 in tuition coverage per year Paid maternity & paternity leave Adoption assistance Retirement benefits with employer matching Long‑ and short‑term disability coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Responsibilities Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shift Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff Assess daily patient care needs and develop/distribute patient care assignments ensuring appropriate care Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes Evaluate effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels Provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff Maintain constant alertness and work safely Perform other duties as assigned Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensing One year of registered nurse experience Physical Requirements Constant use of speech and oral communication Constant standing and walking; frequent lifting/carrying (0–25lbs) and pushing/pulling objects Frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use/data entry; frequent use of vision, depth perception, color distinction, smell, hearing Occasional lifting (25–50lbs), moving patients, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, repetitive movements Occasional driving; rare crawling and running Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) – Illinois (IDFPR) plus BLS HCP, ALS or PALS Registered Nurse (RN) – Missouri (or Compact State) plus BLS HCP and ALS or PALS Registered Nurse (RN) – Oklahoma (OBN or Compact State) plus BLS HCP and ALS or PALS Registered Nurse (RN) – Wisconsin (or Compact State) plus BLS HCP and ALS or PALS SSM Health is an equal opportunity employer.
