Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years in a comparable acuity hospital License: Must have an active unencumbered TN (or multi-state) RN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Cerner EMR experience Description: The Registered Nurse will work as an Acute Care Float. Assignments will be determined by the nursing supervisor based on staffing needs. The shift is from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM with a 30-minute lunch. The nurse will typically work with ratios varying according to need, generally 1:6. First-time travelers will be considered for this position. Weekend work is required every other week. Candidates must possess Cerner EMR experience. Nurses will float to various medical units as needed. Special requirements include adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards. References are required, and candidates should have the ability to adapt to different patient care environments.
