Senior Software Development Engineer In Test (Sdte) And Quality Assurance (Qa) EngineerAs a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) and Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will work collaboratively with product management, TPM's, software engineers and other experienced technology resources to build and test a suite of enterprise mobile products for a diverse customer base. The objective is to automate as much testing as possible, but both automation testing and manual testing will be required as part of this role.The position requires the ability to assess and define testing requirements for a product solution, define the appropriate testing strategy and methodology, execute, and manage testing including defining and reporting on key metrics. In addition, this position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented and product-centric environment. The ideal candidate for this position will be a good problem solver, collaborative, reliable and driving for continuous learning and improvement.Required SkillsExperience setting up and maintaining test automation suit for mobile appsExperience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similarSQA methodology and JiraAbility to create detailed well-structured test plan and test casesAgileJob DutiesParticipate in all phases of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Enhancing our existing automation tools & infrastructureImplementing new infrastructure for tracking, reporting on test statusAdding automation for preexisting test casesParticipates in requirement gathering sessions and gives input on requirement and design documentsReviews requirements for assigned projects and creates test cases as applicableCreates and executes manual and automated test scripts to validate the acceptance criteria defined within the epics and user stories implemented by team membersCollaborates with product team members (e.g., Product Owners, Data architects and Engineers) to define the automating testing approach/strategy for a given product / applicationMaintains the automated testing suite and accompanying framework for a given productCollaborates with team members (e.g., DevOps Engineers, Data architects) to incorporate new automated test scripts into the continuous integration pipelineAnalyzes test results to identify defects, ensures features and user stories work as expected, and recommends corrective action as appropriateConsults and provides feedback for resolution of problemsDevelops, applies, and maintains quality standards for company productsParticipates in team planning and activities for improving skills, knowledge, and quality of workMaintains education and knowledge in the areas of technology, business knowledge, and company policiesJob RequirementsDeep technical knowledge and experience of 7 years in designing and building software test automation framework and test suites for mobile apps.Minimum 5 years’ experience working in an Agile environment.Minimum 5 years’ experience with mobile app automation (android and iOS) proprietary/open source development and test tools.Demonstrated proficiency in multiple test automation tools and frameworks.Ability to drive and deliver quality through process, instrumentation and testing in collaboration with others.Experience in developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test suites.Experience defining and maintaining detailed test cases, test results, defects, RCA.Ability to digest and understand complex and/or ambiguous user requirements and construct test cases to validate themStrong knowledge of SDLC and SQA methodology as well as experience testing on Agile and/or DevOps teamsExcellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skillsSolid understanding of build tools and software configuration management standardsKnowledge of and experience using Visual Studio, Android Studio and GITAbility to triage/troubleshoot defects providing detailed issue analysis to software developers to expedite defect resolution.Team player with desire to learn and grow in the role to take on additional challenges.Experience defining and maintaining detailed test cases, test results, defects, RCA.Experience using Automation tools like Ranorex, Jenkins, SauceLabs, Splunk, and/or Selenium.Experience with scripting languages like Shell Scripting, Groovy, Python, Perl, Java, JavaScript, .Net or PowerShell.Experience with UX, BI solutions such as Power BI.Enterprise application development with focus on Reliability, Resilience and Availability.Experience implementing BDD/TDD and relevant toolsets, relational database management skills like Azure SQL, SQL Server.Analytical thinker possessing strong problem solving and decision making skillsDesired Skills & ExperiencePreferred Qualifications Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subjectExperience with DevOps and CI/CD lifecycles.
