Certified Medication Aide

Job Description

The Certified Medication Aide plays a vital role in healthcare settings by administering medications, monitoring patients, and supporting nursing staff within a medium-sized team. This position requires adherence to safety and sanitation protocols while maintaining accurate records and effective communication with patients to ensure optimal care.

Responsibilities

Administer medications as prescribed and documented
Monitor patient responses and report adverse reactions
Maintain accurate medication and patient records
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation procedures
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their medications
Manage medication inventory and restock supplies
Assist nursing staff with patient care tasks
Follow established care plans and protocols

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in medication administration
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Medication Administration

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Medication Aide license
