Field Service Technician I

Position OverviewPower your future with Qualus in our Field Services department as a Field Service Technician I. As a Field Service Technician I your responsibilities include performing testing, maintenance and repair of low and medium voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control and other electrical apparatus in the shop and in the field.Travel: 50% overnight travelResponsibilitiesPerforming testing on low and medium voltage breakers including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing testsCompleting mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including tear down, refurbishment and parts replacementWiring circuit breakersUtilizing and accurately reading test equipmentReading schematics and wiring drawingsTroubleshooting circuit breaker controlsReading and plotting time-current curvesTesting transformers, including Power Factor and TTRAccurately and consistently documenting using Power DBAble to work with electrical tools and socket setsQualificationsEducation: High School Diploma1-5 years' related experience in commercial and industrial maintenanceMinimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testingLicensures and Certifications: NETA 2, 3, or 4 preferredReference and complete assignments as described in applicable specificationsPerform regular field work both indoors and outdoorsStrong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management abilityProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Valid Driver's license and good driving recordBenefits & CompensationQualus benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays, for those who qualify.The expected compensation range for this position is based upon several factors, including but not limited to education, qualifications, prior relevant work experience and work location.Company OverviewQualus is a leading pure-play power services firm and innovator at the forefront of the energy transition and transformation, with differentiated capabilities across grid modernization, resiliency, security, and sustainability.
