Job Summary


This Research Associate roll will act as a study interventionist on a currently running Randomized Controlled Trial of an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-based intervention to alleviate the impact of fatigue on the daily lives of ovarian cancer survivors taking parp inhibitors. The Research Associate will schedule with and coach study participants through the intervention protocol and will also assist the Principal Investigator in clinical supervision for graduate student interventionists on the trial.

Who We Are

This Research Associate position is available in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience under the direction of Joanna Arch, Ph.D. Dr. Arch's research focuses on anxiety disorders and mindfulness-based behavioral interventions particularly in the context of cancer.
The position will be part of a National Cancer Institute-funded randomized trial of a telehealth behavioral intervention to reduce the impact of fatigue on the daily lives of women with ovarian cancer (REVITALIZE Study). The project is conducted in collaboration with Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Duke University, community cancer care sites throughout Colorado as well as the University of Colorado Cancer Center.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Scheduling and administering study intervention sessions with REVITALIZE Study participants
• Assisting PI in clinical supervision of graduate student interventionists

This is a part-time .2 FTE position.

What We Require

• PhD in Clinical Psychology
• Clinical experience with oncology populations

What You Will Need

• Clinical training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
• Availability to see participants on an hourly basis for a 10-week intervention

What We Would Like You to Have

• Prior training in the REVITALIZE Intervention
• Clinical experience with working with women with gynecological cancers
