Job Title: Oncology Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS preferred Must-Have: Chemo Certification preferred Description: Data Collection: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 24 Number of Staff: 42 Type of Staff: Day Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5 Type of Equipment: Standard unit equipment EMR: Cerner Typical Hiring Profile: Skill Set Most Recruited For: Must have skills include a valid RN license and BLS certification. Preferred or Nice to Have: Candidates with Chemo Certification will be considered first. List of Typical Procedures Performed: Occasional pelvic exams, echo, thoracentesis. Best Personality Fit: Team players who are willing to learn. Required Certifications: None at this time. Floating Areas: Other medical-surgical units. Dress Code: RNs - navy, white, or a combination of both colors; CNAs - Galaxy Blue. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Basic hospital policies and guidelines.
