Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery

Description: Provide care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. Assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor. Administer medications and perform clinical procedures as necessary. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the designated charting system. Support breastfeeding and lactation initiatives for new mothers. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current in the specialty area. Float to sister facilities as needed to meet the needs of the patients. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures. Work weekend shifts as required, typically every third weekend. Comply with all facility policies and procedures. Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families. Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.
