Account Specialist – Beneficial Electrification (Field-Based) Location: Mississippi (Field-Based – local travel required) ICF is expanding its Beneficial Electrification team in the Southern US to support commercial and industrial equipment electrification programs. The Account Specialist plays a key role in identifying electrification opportunities through discussions with commercial and industrial utility customers and site assessments. Under the direction of the Electrification Program Manager, the role assists in recruiting and managing trade allies—manufacturers, distributors, and installers—of emerging electric technologies that replace carbon‑based equivalents. Responsibilities Meet with commercial and industrial business owners, operations, facilities, or energy managers to introduce the program and identify electrification opportunities. Conduct walk‑through site assessments to identify electrification opportunities. Support the Electrification Program Manager with tracking and reporting of project implementation, outreach activities, and progress toward program goals. Identify issues, opportunities, and lessons learned; contribute to continuous improvement of program design and delivery. Record activities and develop client‑facing reports using MS Office and industry‑specific software tools. Recruit trade allies and develop productive relationships with trade allies, industry associations, and other key market stakeholders. Train trade allies on available support, financial incentives, and how to use the programs to advance their business goals. Execute the marketing and engagement strategy, including presenting webinars, attending trade shows, and generating leads. Support program participants, product suppliers, and installation contractors with project application processes. Maintain a reliable vehicle for local travel; mileage reimbursement provided. Qualifications Minimum 25–75% of the time dedicated to travel; mileage reimbursement provided. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (one year of experience may substitute for each year of education). 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in utilities, energy efficiency, electrification, or commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors. Valid driver’s license; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check. Experience supporting implementation of utility electrification or energy efficiency programs (preferred). Previous sales or outreach experience in commercial or industrial equipment or related contractor industries (preferred). Strong planning, organization, and supervisory skills. Time‑management skills to handle multiple priorities and flexibility to work limited overtime. Self‑motivated, able to manage own time with minimal oversight. Compensation Base salary in the $85,000‑$100,000 range plus quarterly commissions and an annual bonus. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, and other factors.
