Comprised of dedicated people and decades of manufacturing experience, we have continued to experience strong growth and currently have outstanding career opportunities for equally dedicated people.Job SummaryImproves the productivity, quality, and margins of the SMC Santa Rosa manufacturing facility through targeted implementation of automation, statistical process controls, product flow streamlining (lean manufacturing), and systems improvements.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitors and maintains preventative maintenance program through IQMS.Performs and documents machine Preventative Maintenance.Maintains adequate stock of parts and supplies needed for PM's.Defines and sources components and equipment for repairs.Uses hand and power tools in a safe manner.Works in accordance to internal and external safety standards.Conserves maintenance resources by using only what is needed at time of need.Communicates with multiple departments in a professional manner.Fabricates components for repair and improvements.Adheres to standards and procedures of company and regulating bodies.Operates a personal computer, utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite.Performs other duties as assigned.Essential QualificationsMinimum five years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.Hydraulic and Electrical proficiency.High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Knowledgeable in differences of Metric vs Standard tools.A candidate with adaptability to changing directives on a day-to-day basis.Strong verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of staff.Computer skills (Basic MS Outlook, Teams, MS Office) are important.Knowledge of electrical safety practices are a must.Desirable QualificationsKnowledge of AS in electronics.Knowledge in ISO.Bilingual is considered a plus, Spanish preferred.ADA RequirementsBend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move about frequently and for extended periods of timeLift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionallyWalk, stand or otherwise move about continuouslyExposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protectionTypically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computerWhat SMC has to offer?Clean, Climate-Controlled EnvironmentStable schedulePaid holiday and PTOHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement savingsLife and disability insurancePromotional opportunitiesTraining and career growth programsAmazing co-workersTuition reimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramWe are committed to fair and equitable hiring with salaries based on relevant factors, such as work experience, education, and certifications.
