Territory Operations Manager - Central California

About the Role

Fast Bid Auctions, LLC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Territory Operations Manager to oversee operations across our Central California auction locations. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving problems, and can lead by example.

You’ll be responsible for supporting and overseeing multiple auction yards, ensuring each location operates efficiently, safely, and professionally. This position requires someone who is proactive, mechanically inclined, highly organized, and capable of stepping in wherever needed — whether that means resolving operational issues, helping load equipment, supporting short-staffed locations, or coaching site managers to improve performance.

The ideal candidate is both a leader and a doer: someone who can motivate teams, delegate effectively, maintain accountability, and identify problems before they become costly disruptions.

This role requires regular travel between Fast Bid Auctions locations in Paso Robles, Santa Maria, Tulare, and surrounding operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple Fast Bid Auctions locations
  • Travel between auction yards regularly to support site performance and staffing needs
  • Lead, mentor, and hold site managers and staff accountable
  • Step in to assist at locations during staffing shortages, busy auction periods, or operational challenges
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and proactively implement solutions
  • Ensure auction yards remain organized, safe, efficient, and customer-ready
  • Coordinate staffing priorities, workflow, and communication between locations
  • Assist with loading/unloading containers and equipment using forklifts and other machinery
  • Support inventory flow, yard organization, customer pickups, and auction setup
  • Maintain strong communication with ownership and leadership regarding operational needs and improvements
  • Help create a positive, motivated, and respectful workplace culture across all locations
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively to minimize downtime and operational disruptions

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership and people management experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in both leadership and hands-on operational roles
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, containers, tools, trailers, or auction yard operations strongly preferred
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot operational or equipment-related issues a plus
  • Strong communication and delegation skills
  • Ability to motivate teams and maintain accountability
  • Computer savvy and comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, email, spreadsheets, and web-based platforms
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and urgency
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure
  • Prior experience in operations management, logistics, construction, equipment, transportation, auctions, or industrial environments is highly preferred
