Automation SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to support commissioning activities for a high-profile data center project in El Paso, TX. This is a short-term contract opportunity ideal for a hands-on PLC/HMI professional who can immediately contribute to loop checks, commissioning, and chiller startup efforts with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have practical field experience with PLC systems, HMI integration, and startup support in industrial or mission-critical environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport commissioning and startup activities for automation systemsPerform loop checks and system validationAssist with chiller startup and operational testingTroubleshoot PLC and HMI systemsWork closely with project teams to resolve field issues quickly and efficientlySupport automation system functionality and performance verificationMaintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule requirementsRequired Qualifications3-5 years of automation, controls, or commissioning experienceExperience in a Data Center environmentExperience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLC hardwareFamiliarity with PLC troubleshooting and startup supportAbility to work independently in a fast-paced commissioning environmentStrong understanding of industrial automation systems and field devicesExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAspen Technical Staffing Celebrating 25 Years ~2001-2026~ We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
