Job Description About Tohme HomeCare Tohme HomeCare Group is a Troy, MI-based home care company serving families across Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties. We provide personalized, non-medical in-home care through our private-pay caregiver matching service - connecting families with vetted, compassionate caregivers who are the right fit for their loved one. We're not a massive agency rotating strangers. We match caregivers to clients based on skills, personality, language, and schedule - because care should feel personal. The Role We're looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one non-medical care to clients in their homes. You'll work directly with families who are paying privately for quality in-home support for their aging parents, spouses, or loved ones with disabilities. This is a mobile/in-home care position. Caregivers report directly to client homes across Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties. This is meaningful, relationship-based work - not a revolving door of 30-minute visits. What You'll Do Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility/transfers Prepare meals and provide medication reminders (non-medical) Provide companionship and cognitive/memory engagement Perform light housekeeping and laundry Provide transportation to appointments and errands Monitor and report changes in client condition to the care coordinator Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment Communicate regularly with the client's family and our care team What We’re Looking For Required: Must be 18 years or older Legally authorized to work in the United States Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to lift and transfer clients (up to 50 lbs) Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience (professional or personal/family caregiving) Strong communication skills and a genuine compassion for helping others Preferred (not required): RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PCA, or other caregiving certification CPR / First Aid certification Experience with Alzheimer's/dementia care, post-surgery recovery, or hospice/palliative care Bilingual - English/Arabic, English/Spanish, or other languages (we serve diverse communities) Experience with Hoyer lifts, mobility equipment, or medical devices Availability for live-in, overnight, or weekend shifts Why Tohme HomeCare Personalized client matching - we pair you with clients that fit your skills, schedule, and personality, not just whoever's next on a list One-on-one care - build real relationships with your clients instead of rushing between 6 stops a day Flexible scheduling - choose shifts that work for your life (days, evenings, weekends, overnights, PRN) Competitive pay - $15–$45/hr based on experience, certifications, and client needs Supportive team - our care coordinators are always available to help you succeed Serving your community - Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties Company Description About Tohme HomeCare Tohme HomeCare Group is a Troy, MI-based home care company serving families across Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties.
