House Supervisor Registered Nurse - Nursing Administration - Part Time - Rotating

Part Time Benefit Eligible Shift: 2 - 12 Hour Rotating Shift, available to work either 7am - 730pm or 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and holiday rotation Department: Nursing Administration, Hospital: Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital, Location: Southfield, MI General Summary Supervises and coordinates unit staffing and provides leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area. Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift; performs performance evaluations of staff. Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments, ensuring population appropriate patient care is given. Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels. Provides input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff. Prefer 1-2 years of hospital leadership, supervisory, experience. Certification/Licensure Required BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
