Title: CNC Set up Milling Machinist

Type of Placement: Temp to Perm

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday with OT

Pay: $25.00-$30.00

Summary:

The ideal candidate will be able to independently set up machines, troubleshoot machining issues, read blueprints, make necessary offsets and adjustments, and inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Independently set up and operate CNC milling centers.

·         Troubleshoot machines, tooling, and machining issues independently.

·         Understand and make basic adjustments related to G-code .

·         Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.

·         Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges, and other inspection tools.

·         Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure parts meet specifications.

·         Keep machines, tooling, and work areas clean and organized.

·         Follow all company safety and production procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

·         High school diploma or GED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·         5+ years’ experience in setting up CNC milling centers No Lathing /turning. 

·         Must be able to independently set up the machine and troubleshoot issues.

·         Experience with Haas mills a plus but not a requirement.

·         Ability to read prints.

·         Ability to use calipers, micro height, depth gauges, etc.

·         Understanding of basic “G” code.

·         Programming is not a requirement.

Environmental Conditions:

·         Work takes place in a metal fabrication shop with exposure to loud machinery, sparks, heat, metal dust, and heavy equipment.

Physical Capabilities:

·         Must be able to: stand for 8 hours and move from role to role or sedentary standing; lift light to moderate amounts of weight; perform repetitive upper extremity motions and repetitive forceful grip/pinch movement requiring both hands.

·         Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
