Logistics Management Specialist

Responsibilities Principal liaison, planning advisor, and consultant to USINDOPACOM regarding bulk petroleum logistics, war, and contingency planning/execution efforts. Organizes, leads, directs, and coordinates highly technical quantitative and qualitative studies and analysis. Briefs the USINDOPACOM Commander, Deputy Commander, CCMD senior leaders on accurate and timely analysis of DoD Energy operations. Advises USINDOPACOM on procurement, storage, and deployment of DLA Energy's entire array of energy resources that may be utilized during contingencies. Resolves operations plan (OPLAN) shortfalls, limitations, and other conditions that impact DLA Energy's ability to perform its energy logistics support mission. Plans for and coordinates with several high level personnel to execute worldwide and regional exercises related to contingencies, mobilization and emergency operations. Collects and evaluates exercise and/or contingency operations to use as a basis for improving and revising DLA Energy doctrine, directives, instructions or Support Plans. Qualifications Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Organizes, leads, directs, and coordinates highly technical quantitative and qualitative studies and analysis. Resolves shortfalls, limitations, and other conditions impacting fuel logistics. Advising higher leadership of concerns, solutions, and revisions made in regard to logistics and program performance. Ensures petroleum stock remains replenished through coordination of invoice payments and stock alignment. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
