Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cytotechnologist (CT ASCP) to join a clinical laboratory team. The Cytotechnologist will examine and evaluate cytology specimens to identify abnormal cellular changes and support accurate diagnostic decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong microscopy skills, experience screening Pap smears and cytology specimens, and the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform microscopic evaluation of cytology specimens to detect abnormal cellular changes.
• Screen and analyze Pap smears and cytology samples following laboratory protocols.
• Prepare, stain, and process cytology specimens for microscopic examination.
• Identify abnormal findings and refer cases to pathologists for review.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards.
• Follow CLIA, CAP, and laboratory regulatory guidelines .
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
• Maintain cytology laboratory equipment and ensure proper functionality.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate diagnostic reporting.

Qualifications:

• ASCP Certification (CT ASCP) - Required
• Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field
• Minimum 1+ year of experience as a Cytotechnologist in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of cytology screening procedures and laboratory protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
