Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Technical training in quality assurance, manufacturing, machining, or related field preferred. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and quality inspection standards.

Experience Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Experience working within an AS9100 quality management system. Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers. Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and inspection reports. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Windows. Experience with CMM inspection and CAD systems is a plus. Strong documentation, typing, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced job shop environment.

Physical Capabilities Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections throughout the shift. Sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the production facility as needed. Handle inspection tools, measuring equipment, and documentation accurately. Maintain focus and attention to detail while inspecting aerospace components. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while adhering to all quality and safety standards.

Job Duties Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies. Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements. Measure parts using precision inspection equipment, including calipers and micrometers. Record inspection results on routers, quality reports, and AS9102 documentation. Verify that products meet customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements before shipment. Review incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards. Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials and quality issues. Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. Support a high-volume aerospace job shop by maintaining inspection flow and meeting production deadlines.
