Associate Director of Alumni Giving

Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, Ga., with an enrollment of 1,150 students in Pre-First through 12th grade. The Associate Director of Alumni Giving is responsible for working with the Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Strategic Giving to develop and implement a comprehensive alumni philanthropy program that increases alumni participation in the Alumni Fund, donor retention, leadership giving, and long-term engagement. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Giving, this position serves as the primary fundraising liaison to Pace Academy alumni.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Alumni Fundraising

• Develop and execute annual strategies to increase alumni donor participation and philanthropic support.

• Design and implement the annual Alumni Fund in conjunction with the Pace Fund.

• Manage a portfolio of alumni leadership giving prospects.

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni donors, which includes traveling to visit alumni.

• Develop reunion giving and class fundraising programs.

• Partner with the Alumni Board and alumni volunteers to support fundraising initiatives.

Alumni Pipeline Development

• Build a sustainable donor pipeline from recent graduates through leadership-level alumni donors.

• Collaborate with Alumni Engagement to strengthen alumni affinity and involvement through building geographical alumni chapters and leadership opportunities.

• Develop targeted outreach strategies for various alumni segments.

Campaign and Major Gift Support

• Identify alumni prospects for major and campaign gifts.

• Assist with alumni campaign initiatives and leadership volunteer recruitment.

• Coordinate alumni-focused campaign communications and solicitation efforts.

• Implement an alumni focused planned giving strategy. 

Data and Performance Management

• Monitor alumni giving participation and retention metrics.

• Analyze giving trends and recommend strategic improvements.

• Develop reports on alumni fundraising performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Minimum 3 years of fundraising or alumni relations experience.

• Experience with annual giving and volunteer management.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• May have to traverse campus during a variety of weather conditions

• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and keyboard

• Some travel may be required
