Off-Road Truck DriverThe Off-Road Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating large off-highway haul trucks to transport materials such as rock, soil, sand, or gravel within a construction site. The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, efficient material movement, and routine equipment inspections.Essential Functions:Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.Operate the haul truck and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.Ensure haul truck is in proper gear and is not moving too fast for working conditions.Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications.Good vision and depth perceptionAble to communicate clearly and take instructionsOther:Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating equipment so that work can be performed in a safe and quality manner.Competencies:Stress Management/Composure.Process drivenSupervisory Requirements:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment:This is a field-based role. Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.Physical Demands:The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work.
