Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 07:00 to 19:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) with at least one year of recent experience. The ideal candidate will be capable of providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, utilization of rapid response/code teams, and comprehensive line care. All applicants must possess a valid New York State License and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and status, including the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage associated conditions.
• Administer medications and oxygen therapy as prescribed.
• Coordinate care with team members and respond to patient needs effectively.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and safety protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in team nursing with an 8:1 patient ratio supervised by an LPN.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg/Tele nursing.
• Current New York State RN license is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
