General Summary:

The Community Growth Manager is responsible for driving membership and organizational growth through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and targeted outreach. This is a highly visible role designed to expand the credit union’s presence by connecting individuals, businesses, and community organizations to our products, services, and mission.

Key Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and cultivate partnerships that drive member, deposit, and lending growth across businesses, community organizations, and consumers.
  2. Represent the credit union at community events, financial wellness workshops, business expos, and networking functions.
  3. Develop and execute outreach strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and target markets.
  4. Lead and expand the Bank at Work program including partner acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing engagement.
  5. Collaborate with Marketing to support campaigns, events, and localized outreach initiatives.
  6. Track and analyze business development metrics, partnership performance, membership growth, and engagement outcomes.
  7. Partner cross-functionally with Retail Banking, Digital, and Lending teams to ensure an exceptional member acquisition and onboarding experience.
  8. Maintain knowledge of products, services, and digital tools to effectively position solutions.
  9. Monitor community needs, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
  10. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management, and vendors. Demonstrates the Credit Union’s core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity, and Responsibility.
  11. Keeps abreast of industry developments including but not limited to changes in regulations and technology.
  12. Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
  13. Performs additional duties as required.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is strongly preferred. Will consider qualified candidates with proven work experience in a similar role at a bank or credit union.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, community relations or financial services.
  3. Proven ability to build relationships and engage diverse audiences, from small business owners to nonprofit leaders.
  4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
  5. Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
