As a Project Engineer on our team in the Los Angeles, CA office, you’ll have an opportunity to work on active projects coordinating the progression of trades and design‑field staff. You will participate in Owner/Architect/ contractor meetings, follow projects from commencing of construction to occupancy by end users. Based at a client site, you will oversee that all work completed by contractors and consultants is of the highest quality with safety being our highest priority. You will also provide support to the Project Manager by developing and maintaining project cost/change controls, project budget, and change order estimates/negotiations. Through this role you will have the opportunity to work on multiple fast‑moving projects and larger, long‑scheduled projects. Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future – big and small, global and local. Key Responsibilities You will oversee project execution from commencement to occupancy, ensuring that all trades and design‑field staff deliver quality results safely. You will coordinate with owners, architects, and contractors, maintain cost and schedule controls, and support the Project Manager in scope and change management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or related discipline 4+ years of project related experience Good working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building Preferred Qualifications Experience with healthcare construction sites (OSHPD1, OSHPD3) Benefits & Compensation Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Location & Working Conditions Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full‑time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
