The opportunity Delaware North Sportservice is hiring seasonal Cooks to join our team at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. As a Cook, you will be a visible leader in a kitchen that nurtures your culinary talents and celebrates your creativity. You will review menus, prepare food, operate kitchen equipment, and uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations. What will you do? Prepare pizza to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items are maintained, and all products are to proper specifications Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines More about you At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-house foodservice position Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes Physical requirements Must be able to lift 35 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift in moderate to high noise levels Shift details Days Evenings Holidays Weekends 8hr shift Events OT as needed Source: Hospitality Online #J-18808-Ljbffr Delaware North at Little Caesars Arena
