Job Summary:

SteelHold Inc. is looking for a customer-focused and energetic Counter Sales Lead to join our team. This role is the heartbeat of our storefront - providing exceptional service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, delivering orders to customers as needed, and supporting warehouse operations. We are looking for someone who enjoys assisting customers, staying organized with inventory and paperwork, and occasionally operating a forklift.

Position Summary:

The responsibility of the Counter Sales Associate is to provide exceptional retail customer service, deliver orders to customers as needed and support warehouse operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets customers promptly and professionally at the sales counter.
• Assists customers with product selection, order placement, pricing, availability, and recommendations.

• Maintains a clean and organized storefront, including restocking shelves and maintaining displays.
• Refills and maintains customer amenities.
• Operates the cash register and manages the cash drawer with accuracy.
• Places and processes customer orders using our inventory system.
• Occasionally operates a forklift to pick orders and backfill warehouse inventory.
• Delivers orders to customers as needed in the company vehicle.
• Collaborates with warehouse and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Other duties as necessary or assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• At least 2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or inside sales
  
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions and orders.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
• Proficient in using computers, POS systems, and basic office equipment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team oriented.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, office equipment, and tools.
• Ability to see, hear, and speak effectively to communicate and perform job duties.
• Ability to read and interpret printed and electronic materials.
• Ability to travel locally to meetings, trainings, or events.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (temperature variations, noise, etc.)
