Cloud Security Engineer

Salary: $102,000 - 149,600 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI access and a Counterintelligence Polygraph after SCI award.
• We require a CompTIA Security+ certification or another DoDD 8140-aligned credential.
• We expect a willingness to work in a secure environment about 90% of the time, with some on-call or after-hours onsite support as needed.
• We require 5 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or infrastructure engineering, along with a bachelors degree; alternatively, 4 additional years of experience may replace the degree.
• We look for the ability to quickly learn and apply a broad range of open-source technologies.
• We require cloud services experience.
• We require experience with Terraform and Kubernetes, or comparable technologies.
• Preferred qualifications include an AWS certification or another cloud provider certification.
• Preferred qualifications include prior experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Python or Java.
• Preferred qualifications include experience automating, operating, and maintaining multiple security tool categories such as monitoring, compliance, vulnerability detection, intrusion detection and prevention, change management and detection, and code analysis.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with custom application development and maintenance.

• We design, implement, and support multiple security applications and services in a cloud environment using CI/CD practices.
• We troubleshoot and resolve issues involving networks, automated pipelines, and infrastructure that affect security services.
• We build, maintain, and monitor the configuration of security tools.
• We develop effective security monitoring, alerting, and metrics using log aggregators and data collectors.
• We act as a collaborative bridge between security-focused teams and development-focused teams.
• We provide configuration and vulnerability management support for production applications and custom code.
