Registered Nurse Home Health

Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) with Homecare is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of Home Health adult and pediatric patients and their families in their home setting. The RN provides the best clinical practice in an environment of caring and healing while working autonomously in the home. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN delivers care in compliance with hospice/home health policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards. The RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence‑based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Current RN license in state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Current driver’s license, insured and reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. RNs with less than 12months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within 4years of their start date. Current Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required as of April27,2025. Preferred Qualifications Additional BSN experience. Two years working as an RN. Previous experience in an Acute Care, Home Health, or Hospice setting. Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions require verbal communication, hearing, and rapid understanding, especially during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands to manipulate complex equipment, frequent computer use and typing for documentation, medication preparation, and other tasks. Expected to lift and move patients, bend, lift, carry supplies and transport equipment. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, push or pull gurneys and portable equipment—including heavy items—and navigate crowded and busy rooms. Location & Hours Location: Home Services – Salt Lake City. City: South Jordan. State: Utah. Scheduled weekly hours: 36. Hourly rate: $34.53 – $52.25, dependent upon experience.
