About Us

Margaret's Meadows is a licensed Adult Foster Care community in Remus, Michigan, providing compassionate Assisted Living and Memory Care to seniors in our region. We're a close-knit, family-oriented community — not a large institution — and we're growing. We're looking for an energetic, personable intern to help us build relationships in the community and connect more families with the care we offer.

About the Role

This internship is a great fit for someone interested in sales, marketing, healthcare administration, or community relations who wants real, hands-on experience growing a business. You'll be the face of Margaret's Meadows out in the community — building relationships with referral sources, attending local events, and helping more families discover us at the moment they need us most. Your work will directly and visibly impact our growth: more community connections, more inquiries, and ultimately, more residents welcomed into our Margaret's Meadows family.

What You'll Do

• Represent Margaret's Meadows at community events, health fairs, senior expos, and networking meetings
• Build and maintain relationships with referral sources — hospitals, discharge planners, elder law attorneys, home health agencies, senior centers, and faith communities
• Distribute marketing materials and represent our brand professionally in the community
• Help track and follow up on inquiries and leads generated from outreach efforts
• Assist with planning and promoting open houses, tours, and community events
• Support social media and local marketing efforts as needed
• Report on outreach activities and help identify new opportunities for community partnerships

What We're Looking For

• Outgoing, personable, and comfortable talking with people in a variety of settings
• Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing
• Self-motivated and comfortable with some independent, goal-driven work
• Reliable transportation (this role involves attending events and meetings around the community)
• Interest in sales, marketing, business, healthcare, or human services a plus — but attitude and work ethic matter more than major or experience
• No prior senior-care experience required — we'll teach you what you need to know about our services

Schedule & Compensation

• Paid, hourly position
• Flexible scheduling — part-time or full-time hours available depending on your availability and our outreach calendar, including some evenings/weekends for events
• Ongoing position, not tied to a fixed semester or season
