Your Role and Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, working in partnership with physicians or independently as warranted by your qualifications
• Instructing patients and families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and managing illnesses
• Prescribing medications and therapies in alignment with your professional practice guidelines
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic illness management
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care
• Maintaining meticulous and precise records within electronic medical systems (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner curriculum

Certification Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or the ability to secure these within 90 days
