Job Description

We are searching for a Manual Machinist for fabrication of small to medium precision parts. Our facilities are air conditioned and use modern, fully tooled equipment.

Job responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines.
• Review drawings, instructions, prints or samples to ensure accurate production.
• Take accurate measurements during the cutting and shaping process.
• Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
• Plan proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
• Monitor production, adjusting speeds and feeds as well as other settings as necessary to boost quality/production.
• Maintain inventory of completed products.
• Sand parts in to achieve very tight tolerances (.000X) and surface finishes (frequently 2-4 RMS).
• Check output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
• Identify need for maintenance and minor repairs.
• Must maintain a safe and clean workstation.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 10 years previous manual lathe experience required to be considered

* Manual mill experience preferred
