NDT Eddy Current (ET) II Technician

Job Description

MISTRAS Group is seeking a qualified NDT Eddy Current ET II Technician, full-time, in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have prior experience inspecting metal tubing—primarily in heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, chillers, and similar equipment—using eddy current testing . The job is to detect flaws without damaging the tubes, helping prevent equipment failures and unplanned shutdowns.\n

Job Responsibilities: \n
\n

\n
• Set up and calibrate equipment.
\n
• Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
\n
• Interpret, evaluate and document results.
\n
• Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel.
\n
• Must be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
\n
• Work with minimal supervision.
\n
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
\n
• Obtain and analyze information skillfully.
\n
• Edit and present numerical data effectively.
\n

Requirements: \n
\n

\n
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
\n
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for one or all of the following is required: UT, RT, MT or PT.
\n
• Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on all or one (1) of the following is required; UT, RT, MT or PT.
\n
• Industrial Radiographers Certification Card preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
\n
• Completion of a forty (40) hour Radiation Safety Course preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
\n

Preferred Requirements: \n
\n

• Graduated from a Non-Destructive Testing School
\n
• Experience in refinery, manufacturing, fabrication, aerospace, or industrial environments preferred
