Receiving Specialist

Receiving Clerk PositionHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a receiving clerk position at a company in New Milford CT. The receiving clerk verifies and maintains records on incoming shipments. This is a temp-to-hire position. The hours are 8:15 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $18 an hour.Job Responsibilities:Examine content and compare with the records to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipmentReceive material in and enter information in customer's system such as SAP or WhiBoardPrepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materialRecord shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposesCheck product for damages/issues and take pictures of damaged productPrint labels and relabel, if applicableAssist with other employees and areas in the department as neededOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentShipping and receiving experienceAble to handle physical aspects of job, including lifting 50 lbs.Computer skillsRead, write and speak EnglishKnowledge and ability to work with bar code scanner is preferredGood Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge is preferredFood Safety and Defense/HAACP knowledge is preferredAble to pass pre-employment screenings
