Grant WriterAs a member of the Development Team, the Grant Writer will be responsible for researching grant opportunities to expand and support program services, completing LOI requirements, writing compelling grant proposals to acquire funding, and maintaining an up-to-date and accurate grant database. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Development.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop a thorough understanding of the organization’s history, mission, structure, programs, objectives, and financial needs to support grant development efforts.Research and identify grant funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources that align with the organization’s programs and goals.Prepare, write, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of intent (LOIs), and supporting documentation in accordance with funding requirements, guidelines, and deadlines.Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding grant proposals, applications, and submissions in a timely and professional manner.Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with funding organizations, grant providers, and other key stakeholders.Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records of grant opportunities, applications, submissions, deadlines, and related documentation.Collaborate with senior management, program staff, and directors to develop measurable program outcomes, projected deliverables, and accurate impact statements for grant proposals.Assist senior program staff and directors in preparing and submitting required grant reports, including program outcomes, deliverables, and other funding-related documentation.Perform other related duties as assigned to support the organization's programs, funding initiatives, and overall operational goals.Educational Requirements / Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.Minimum of 2–3 years of grant writing experience, with demonstrated success in securing funding and achieving positive outcomes.Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.Must meet Easterseals Florida Approved Driver Requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including:Microsoft Word: IntermediateMicrosoft Excel: IntermediateMicrosoft PowerPoint: IntermediateMicrosoft Outlook: IntermediateIntermediate proficiency in internet research and online resources.Basic knowledge of database systems, including data entry, record maintenance, and information retrieval.Professional Skills and Competencies:Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex documents and convey information clearly and professionally.Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and communicate with management, stakeholders, and external audiences.Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information persuasively.Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including the ability to interpret statistical data, percentages, ratios, and financial information.Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze information, identify issues, and develop sound conclusions.Ability to interpret complex instructions, evaluate multiple variables, and apply sound judgment in decision-making.Other:Work is primarily performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels.Position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.May occasionally require bending, kneeling, reaching, or lifting and moving items weighing up to 10 pounds.May occasionally involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Reporting to this position:No staff
