The RPSGT/Scoring Technician must be able to work primarily at Epoch HQ in Lincoln, RI (6 Blackstone Valley Place, STE 707 - Lincoln, RI 02865), with the ability to travel/work occasionally at one of the other offices located in Dartmouth, MA (370 Faunce Corner Road - N. Dartmouth, MA 02747), Leominster, MA (435 Lancaster St, STE 211B - Leominster, MA 01453), and Worcester, MA (85 Prescott Street, STE 302B - Worcester, MA 01605).

This will be a full-time position with a typical daytime schedule, Mon-Fri, 8AM - 4:30PM EST.

The RPSGT/Scoring Technician will work closely with our existing scoring team and become an important resource for scoring, physician support, quality assurance, sleep technology, and troubleshooting across our four sleep laboratories in the MA/RI area and is a great opportunity for someone who wants to use their sleep medicine experience in a role that goes beyond simply conducting overnight studies. The expectation of this position is to provide a first-class patient experience with every patient interaction.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Score in-lab polysomnographic studies and home sleep tests
• Generate accurate preliminary reports by tabulating and summarizing sleep data and events
• Review studies for accuracy, completeness, and technical quality
• Respond to physician questions and assist with report corrections
• Help troubleshoot sleep study acquisition and data systems
• Help maintain consistency and quality across our scoring operations
• Support technical issues across our four laboratory locations
• Perform routine equipment care and maintenance, and inventory evaluation
• Assist in evaluating new sleep testing devices and technology
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and communication with patients across all age groups, from neonatal to geriatric patients
• Prepare, clean, and disinfect HSAT equipment; instruct patients on proper home use and ensure proper data download and review
• Identify and document HSAT data quality issues, such as artifacts or study failures, and assist in generating accurate reports
• Adhere to sleep center policies related to quality assurance
• Travel between our RI and MA locations as needed

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (if RRT, license in RI required; MA license a strong plus) ; Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS) certification preferred
• Current CPR (in-person BLS) Certificate required
• At least 3 years of sleep study scoring experience required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work through problems independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with the willingness to travel between our four laboratory locations as business needs dictate is a strong plus
