About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Evening Rotating Hours per Shift: 8, 10, or 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BCLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred Must-Have: Circulate and scrub experience preferred EPIC experience required Description: Provide high-quality nursing care in a day/evening rotating schedule. Assist with circulating and scrubbing as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. Shifts may include a combination of four 10-hour shifts, five 8-hour shifts, or two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts. Call shifts typically require signing up for 2-3 calls per 4-week period. Candidates must be able to accommodate varying shift schedules as needed. Experience in neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, robotics, and oncology is preferred. Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and universal protocols is essential. Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary for this role. Candidates must be proactive in managing their nursing responsibilities and patient care effectively. References from professional supervision or leadership roles are required. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
