Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR RN to provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role involves managing patient needs before, during, and after surgery while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prepare patients for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation and equipment are ready.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate efficient operative processes.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery.
• Provide post-operative care, assessing patient recovery and managing any complications.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations during weekends and weeknights as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Valid registered nursing license with a focus on perioperative or operating room experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively during weekend and weekday call shifts.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization, and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in urgent or emergent situations.
• Flexibility to discuss 3x12 or 4x10 shift schedules.
