Application Analyst II

Application Analyst IIThe Application Analyst II position is responsible for working with Operations and ETS to determine workflows and systems capabilities to ensure effective outcomes. Utilizes past experience to support the host of ETS systems and operations ranging from ancillary applications to supporting business, clinical and revenue cycle operations in conjunction with Epic and the Enterprise Resource Planning System for various functional areas.Essential ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.Developing technical solutions to complex business problemsDefining, analyzing, and implementing solutions based on operation workflow needsAssisting with the selection, installation, maintenance, and education of system applicationsDocumenting workflow reflecting current and future stateRecognizing system improvements that may boost operational efficiencyMonitoring, tracking, and documenting system utilization and effectivenessTaking part in pre- and post-implementation metrics gathering to assure the system is delivering expected outcomesTroubleshooting application performance and complex technical issuesPerforming software testing and documenting compliance with system and industry standardsEnsuring changes are documented and vetted through the appropriate change boardGeneral ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsEducation Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required.Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in IT application support required. Previous IT healthcare experience preferred.License/Certification/Registration Requirements: No certification required.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:Strong knowledge of computers, patient care information systems and business systemsStrong ability to extract and analyze dataStrong knowledge of processional theory, practices, techniques and proceduresStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively as a member of a team and ensure quality patient careStrong listening skillsStrong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning softwareStrong comprehension of the integration of ancillary applications and their associated functionality.OU Health is an equal opportunity employer.
