Overview

Cornerstone Staffing Solutions is seeking dedicated Order Picker/Forklift Operators to join one of our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient order fulfillment, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of materials. The successful candidate will operate various warehouse equipment, including reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks, to support seamless warehouse distribution operations. Duties

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
• Accurately pick orders using barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems to ensure correct items are selected for shipment.
• Prepare orders for packing by organizing products efficiently while adhering to quality control standards.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting stock counts, updating inventory management systems, and ensuring stock accuracy.
• Load and unload shipments while following safety protocols and manual handling procedures to prevent injuries.
• Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stocking shelves appropriately and ensuring materials are stored securely.
• Use RF scanners and barcode scanning tools for logistics tracking to streamline order fulfillment processes.
• Follow safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency.

Skills

• Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
• Familiarity with order picking, packing, shipping & receiving processes, and quality control standards.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of barcode scanning for logistics purposes and RF scanner operation.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
• Experience in warehouse distribution environments with a focus on safety protocol adherence.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through proper PPE use and adherence to safety guidelines.
