Halff is seeking a Landscape Architecture Project Manager in the Houston, TX or The Woodlands, TX office. The ideal candidate would have their Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) registration and bring at least 8 years of experience working on the following project types: park, recreation and trail planning and design; urban park, plaza, streetscape and transportation enhancements; land development; and support for large scale planning projects. What you will do:
- Manage projects from planning through delivery, collaborating with project members, multi-practice teams, subconsultants and other stakeholders to make sure deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs and meeting plans are communicated.
- Work with design teams and consultants through all design stages from concept through construction.
- Lead teams to complete projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
- Produce CD sets including hardscape, planting, construction details and preparation of specifications and bidding packages.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of landscape architects, planners and others, to provide management on a wide variety of public and private landscape architectural projects.
- Assist in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Support in preparation of proposals and RFQs.
- Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations and Halff requirements and comply with recognized standards and codes of practice.
- Apply technical expertise appropriately by understanding project specific standards, criteria, deliverables and best practices.
- Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to landscape designers, landscape architects, and technical staff, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within project team.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university
- Texas registration as a Professional Landscape Architect
- At least 8 years of experience in Landscape Architecture
- Ability to travel periodically primarily in state to support project needs
- Experience with construction methodologies and implementation
- Well organized, detail oriented and highly motivated
- Be able to anticipate the needs of clients and projects
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Have excellent design skills
- Be proficient with computer applications including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
