Turning Leaf Mind Rehab Consultation, LLC is searching for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. Our outpatient facility focuses on supporting individuals affected by traumatic events and specializes in conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining strong connections with patients through telehealth platforms. Although much of the work is conducted from home, you may occasionally visit our outpatient office for team meetings and collaborative care consultations. The atmosphere at Turning Leaf is one of support and encouragement, fostering collaboration among therapists, psychiatrists, and staff to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Turning Leaf, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to implement effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, build coping strategies, and achieve personal growth.
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and support staff, to ensure integrated and holistic care for each patient.
  • Providing crisis intervention services to support individuals during trauma-related emergencies or acute distress.
  • Educating clients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, fostering understanding and resilience.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Engaging in team meetings, professional development activities, and case consultations focused on trauma-focused care approaches.
  • Continuing to develop your expertise by staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have experienced trauma, particularly survivors of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will provide compassionate, client-centered care that fosters a therapeutic alliance, allowing clients to feel safe and supported in addressing their experiences. Our practice emphasizes resilience-building techniques, enabling clients to not only cope with their trauma but also thrive in their personal and interpersonal lives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.
  • A strong foundation in trauma-informed care and a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy, and a non-judgmental demeanor.
  • Proficient understanding of electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to efficiently manage patient documentation.
  • A commitment to remaining calm and effective in high-stress crisis situations.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with robust experience in trauma-focused therapies and evidence-based interventions will be given priority. Experience participating in multidisciplinary teams and crisis intervention roles will also be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

The position comes with a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
