About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a strategic partner and content expert, providing operational leadership to ensure the long-term sustainability and mission success. The COO will be responsible for all program operations, including behavioral health, substance use services, and residential support, with a focus on operational excellence, quality of care, and fostering a culture of compassion and accountability. Specific duties include leading program operations, partnering with the executive team to drive a unified vision, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with the CFO on budget management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' progressive leadership experience in relevant fields, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and a deep understanding of Medicaid, state regulations, and behavioral health service delivery models. Applicants for the COO position at the company should possess a proven ability to lead with compassion, empathy, and resilience, as well as the capacity to turn vision into actionable operational plans. The role requires a leader with strong management and leadership capabilities, demonstrable competency in strategic planning and program development, and the ability to influence and lead through change. The successful candidate will be expected to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders to enhance the organization's reputation and community impact. A background in behavioral health, human services, nonprofit healthcare, or nonprofit management, with experience in overseeing complex, multi-state operations, is essential. The COO will also be responsible for guiding and mentoring multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring financial accountability, and evaluating growth opportunities that align with the organization's mission and vision.
