Rehabilitation Services Supervisor

Lake Huron Medical Center is a 139-bed community hospital that provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to residents of St. Clair and Sanilac counties including emergency services, primary stroke center, cancer care, surgical services, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, pulmonary rehabilitation, and specialized diabetes programs.

Responsibilities

Supervises Rehab Services daily activities. Coordinates and supervises staff and clinical affiliates, treatments and activity schedule. Assists in planning and establishing policies and procedures and development of new programs. Trains and monitors competency of new and current personnel. Assists in staff performance evaluations. Direct patient care including evaluation and treatment as dictated by census with a negative variance. Assists Director in management of department and assumes any delegated assignments.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Graduate from an approved school of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology with a BA, BS degree, Master's degree or Doctoral degree. 2. Three years-experience as a practicing physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech therapist. 3. Licensed by the State of Michigan as Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist; or, credentialed by accrediting association for Audiology and/or Speech-Language Pathology. 4. BCLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current.
